Smoothered Beef With Mashed Potatoes |
This is the simplest and most delicious beef you will ever make at home. Let’s make some onion smothered beef (T-Bone)
What you will need
● 1 kg T-Bone steak cut into cubes
● 2 tablespoon oil
● 1kg Onions (you can reduce to 1/2kg)
● 1 teaspoon black pepper
● 1 Beef cube (bouillon)
● Salt to taste
● 1/2 cup white vinegar
● 3/4 ltrs Water for boiling
● Coriander for garnish
● Mashed potatoes to serve.
What to do
▪ In a pressure cooker over medium heat add oil, sauté the onions until soft and slightly golden go in with the beef mix well, add in the black pepper, beef cube, salt to taste and vinegar continue to mix well then add in the water give it a good stir and then cover with the pressure cooker lid cook for about 15- 20 mins and voila your beef is ready should be thick with less liquid. Serve with some mash potatoes and garnish with fresh Coriander.
▪ PS: Pressure cooker cooks and tenderizes the beef so fast hence the less minutes of cooking the beef, if you don’t have a pressure cooker you will add extra water and Cook for more minutes until the liquid reduces completely and you have a thick beef coated with lots of cooked onions.
