Coriander Fish Salad Recipe 


Do away with the carbs and try this delicious coriander fish salad.
We will marinate some fish steaks, pan-sear them and serve them with this side salad -- a mix of soft lettuce and iceberg lettuce with a touch of cherry tomatoes and lime wedges. This is a delicious light meal that does away with carbs.

Coriander Fish Salad

What you will need


● 250g fish steaks about 3 slices

● 1 bunch fresh coriander leaves

● Juice of 2 limes

● 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

● Salt to taste

● 1 tablespoon garlic ginger paste

● 1 tablespoon soy sauce

● Oil for frying

● 1 packet cherry tomatoes

● 1 iceberg lettuce

● 1 pack soft lettuce

● 100ml tomato sauce

What to do


▪ In a blender, add in coriander leaves, lime juice, soy sauce and 1 tablespoon oil. Give it a good blend until smooth and set aside.

▪ Pour garlic ginger paste on fish steaks and rub it all over. Add on blended mixture and continue to rub then add turmeric powder and salt. Let it stay in the marinade for an hour or so.

▪ In a pan over medium heat, add oil and pan-sear the fish until golden brown (about 2 minutes each side). Once cooked on both sides, set aside.

▪ In a huge platter, arrange the soft lettuce and iceberg lettuce, leaving space in the middle.

▪ Pour tomato sauce as a bed on the platter arrange the fish in the middle over the tomato sauce. Garnish with some halves of cherry tomatoes then squeeze some lime juice all over the fish and lettuce then serve as a meal on its own.
