Swahili Biriani
Swahili Biriani Recipe I would love to share with you my Swahili Biriani recipe here I used fillet steak since it's tender and flavorful I added a tablespoon of Garam Masala to get the most flavors that are incorporated in the Mix so as to spice up my Biriani also I did infuse in some whole pilau Mix and a touch of fried onions on the rice. Swahili Beef Birian What you will need ● 1 kg beef fillet steak ● 500ml veg oil ● 4 large onions sliced ● 1/2 kg potatoes peeled and cut into halves ● 1 teaspoon garlic minced ● 1 teaspoon ginger minced ● 1 tablespoon Garam Masala ● 1 tablespoon whole pilau mix ● 2 tomatoes cubed ● 1 green pepper finely diced ● 300g tomato paste ● 3 lemons squeezed ● 250ml thick plain yoghurt Salt to taste Rice ● 2 cups Pishori or basmati rice ● 4 cups Water ● 1/2 teaspoon yellow food color or turmeric ● Salt to taste Method ▪ In a deep fat frying pan add in the oil and fry the onions to golden brown using the same oil fry the po
