Vegetarian Biriani Recipe


Let’s make this delicious vegetarian biriani in this recipe I used Royco cubes to get the most flavor in the mix.

How To Cook Vegetarian Biriani Recipe

Here is what you will need

1. For The Rice

● 2 cups basmati rice

● 4 cups water

● Salt to taste

● 1 tablespoon oil

● 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (color)

2. For The Curry

● 2 onions sliced

● 1 teaspoon garlic ginger paste

● 2 tomatoes diced

● 200g green peas boiled

● 3 large potatoes cubed (boiled)

● 100g tomato paste

● 3 royco cubes

● 1 teaspoon curry powder

● 1 teaspoon garam masala

● 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

● Juice of 1 lime

● 1 tablespoon oil

● Chopped dania and mint (for garnish)

What to do 


▪ In a pot over medium heat add water, salt, oil and rice, cover and cook until fluffy, Once cooked set aside.
 
▪ In a pot over medium heat add in a table spoon of oil sauté the onions until golden brown add in garlic and ginger paste, garam masala, turmeric, curry powder and crumble in the royco cubes continue to cook until fragrant, add in the tomatoes and tomato paste continue to mix well until thick at this point go in with the green peas and potatoes mix well then pour the cooked rice on top of the curry, sprinkle 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder over the rice reduce heat to low and cover with a tight lid, let it cook for another 15 minutes, sprinkle some chopped dania and mint leaves on top and you are ready to serve.
